Georg Jensen began from the art of a Danish silversmith and designer who achieved international prominence for his commercial application of modern metal design. The simple elegance of his works and their emphasis on fine craftsmanship are recognized around the world.

In 1987, Jørgen Møller and his grandchild designed the elephant bottle opener, which went on to be a global favourite. More elephant-themed designs followed, including a key ring.
